After Hours (Work in Progress)
"After Hours" is my first short film, and it explores a different side of what it means to “go home.” Not everyone has a place where they feel truly safe or wanted, and I wanted to capture that feeling of searching for somewhere that actually feels like yours.
The film follows a high school student who spends his time after school anywhere but at home—shooting hoops by himself, grabbing fast food, and walking through the city streets just to pass the time.
The intention of each scene will be to dive into those moments of silence and distraction where he’s trying to find that sense of comfort he can’t get at home. It’s about those hours when you’re just looking for a place to belong.
